On 1st December 2016, twelve students from grade 10 and 12 went on a field trip organized by Mr. Sanchez to EUMETSAT in Darmstadt.
At EUMETSAT, students learned about the importance of understanding the behavior of weather and how it has been monitored for three decades by the organization.
The visit included a very informative presentation by Mr. Tusche, who took the time to answer several questions regarding the many challenges faced by scientists in order to obtain accurate information about our planet
Mr. Tusche also showed the control room of the satellites controlled by EUMETSAT which are currently orbiting the Earth.
From 15 June 2015 to 16 June 2015, secondary students at MIS had the opportunity to go on a field trip organized by Mr. Sanchez (Physics and Math teacher) and Ms. Sonmez (English teacher).
The field trip included biking a total of 106 km along the Rhine while visiting four castles in the region.
The eight students who attended ranged from 11 to 16 years old and demonstrated to be fit enough to enjoy the great view and experience.
